Q1: Can you please introduce yourself as well as AscendEX ?

AscendEX is a full-stack exchange where you can trade, store, and stake your cryptocurrency. We service over 1 million retail and institutional customers in over 200 countries and the platform is consistently ranked within the top-20 exchanges by Coinmarketcap & Coingecko in terms of volume, and liquidity.

I’ve been working in the cryptocurrency industry for about 7 years now with professional experience in both China & the US ranging from trading, exchange infrastructure, data science, and investing. I started my crypto career working with the Winklevoss twins at Gemini. After about 2 years, I moved to China and worked at FBG Capital to oversee all trading operations including OTC, designated market making, and principal trading. In 2019 I joined AscendEX (formerly BitMax) as the global head of business development. Haven’t looked back since!

Q2: What are the advantages of AscendEX’s Platform?

I would say there are two major advantages of AscendEX…

Maximized Returns on Crypto:

What this means is that you can deposit an asset, for example, USDT, onto the platform. Stake USDT via a lending & borrowing protocol to start earning 8% APR. Then use that USDT as collateral to lever up and go 50x long bitcoin on a perpetual futures contract. No other platform allows you to do all of those things at once, which is why I think we’ve seen lots of users come to the platform recently.

Q3: Please tell us about the goals you want to achieve this year.

The main theme is bridging the divide between centralized finance and decentralized finance. Allowing our users earn more lucrative rewards using all different types of assets.

There are so many cool features in the crypto industry (yield farming, new protocols, etc.) yet many users still have difficulty accessing them — we really want to make it easy for users to do it all from the safety and comfort of the AscendEX platform.

Q4:How do you guarantee users’ asset security?

We have capital reserves to cover any loss of funds that might result from a hack or platform issue. Additionally, we only keep a small % of all assets in “hot” wallets at any given time in order to minimize the amount of crypto that can be accessed by an external threat. Our “cold” wallets (i.e., offline) have restricted access and defense in-depth that require multiple senior members of the AscendEX team to access. This protects against internal threats.

Q5: Recently, AscendEX integrated with TradingView. Congratulations on that. Could you tell us, what benefits have this integration bought to the platform and to its users?

TradingView integration has been really great and brings a ton of value to traders and projects that want to perform in-depth technical analysis for cryptocurrencies. Given how popular TradingView is, the partnership also helps bring a lot of site traffic to AscendEX, which results in more registrations and active users.

Q6: Can you explain more about AscendEX’s ASD Investment Multiple Card? What are the benefits of using this card?

The investment multiple card is a way to boost the APR% earned via staking ASD, AscendEX’s utility token.

Q7: I read that you have recently launched #PerpetualFuturesContracts. What is the leverage available for these contracts that you have recently developed? In what token will they initially be settled? With this development, what benefits will #AscendEX users receive?

Up to 100x leverage. USDT denominated and settled. AscendEX users can post all different types of assets to serve as collateral to borrow against – even staked assets currently earning yield (“APR%”).
